Aurora Public Schools has a kind, caring community that helps our students thrive each day. We value every touchpoint, including those happening behind the scenes. We are excited to keep the momentum going with our Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC), and we want your voice at the table!
The CBOC is an independent stakeholder group that reviews and monitors the implementation of major bond projects approved by voters. The committee, comprised of a cross-section of the community, meets quarterly during the bond’s five-year implementation period. APS staff members will provide the CBOC with regular informational briefings, project updates, financial reports and completion summaries related to the $1 billion bond initiative approved by voters in November 2024.
APS is seeking eight to 10 committee members who reflect the diversity of our community, including multilingual families and residents from across our district. Committee members bring a wide range of experiences, from parents and grandparents to community advocates and neighborhood leaders. No prior experience with school bonds or construction is required. We are committed to making participation accessible for all families, and translation and interpretation support are available.
