We are excited to share that our Board of Education has approved the 2025-26 District Calendar, which you can view here. We sincerely appreciate the time and consideration our APS students, families and staff dedicated to participating in the calendar survey, which has been invaluable in guiding decisions to support student success and enhance the overall educational experience.
Below are a few highlights for the 2025-26 school year:
- First Days of School:
- Aug. 6, 2025 for Grades 1-2
- Aug. 12, 2025 for Kindergarten and Preschool
- Fall Break: Oct. 13-17, 2025
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 27-28, 2025
- Winter Break: Dec. 22, 2025-Jan. 5, 2026
- Spring Break: March 9-13, 2026
- Last Day of School: May 21, 2026 for Grades P-12
Please note that some schools may have additional non-contact days around some of the breaks listed above and that individual school calendars may vary. Check with your child’s school for specific calendar information.
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve learning outcomes, APS will pilot a late start calendar at several schools next year, with districtwide implementation starting the 2026-27 school year. A late start calendar means that students would arrive late to school once a week, so that educators have essential time for professional learning, collaboration and coaching that directly impacts student achievement.
We are carefully planning the implementation of the pilot and will share additional details in the months ahead. Together, we are building a brighter, stronger future for every APS student!
