Aurora Public Schools offers students the opportunity to explore their passions through dynamic, hands-on learning that makes education both meaningful and exciting. Our magnet schools and special admissions programs allow students to follow their unique interests while receiving an exceptional education designed to prepare them for success in college, career and life.
Families interested in applying for the 2026–27 school year can submit applications through Jan. 30. Availability may vary by school and grade level, and applications submitted after Jan. 30 will be placed on a waiting list.
This year’s application window includes one of APS’ most exciting future opportunities, our first-ever Dual Language Magnet School, opening in August 2026 at the former Sixth Avenue Elementary School site! The school will serve preschool through fifth-grade students from across APS, starting with preschool through first grade for the 2026–27 school year. Students will learn in both Spanish and English using a model that builds biliteracy and cultural understanding—skills that will serve them for life.
