APS is committed to creating safe and welcoming learning environments so that our students can shape successful futures. Each year, we invite parents, students and staff to share their thoughts and feedback about the safety, wellness and learning supports that exist in our schools through a series of climate surveys: one for parents, one for staff and one for students.
Information on the Parent Survey
All APS parents and guardians are encouraged to provide important feedback through our family climate survey. This will help us understand what is going well, what needs you have and how well your children’s school is communicating with you. The surveys are anonymous and answers will be kept strictly confidential.
This year, the district is implementing a new approach to gather valuable feedback from our community. We kindly ask that each family member of students enrolled in APS schools complete a survey for every student they have in our district, rather than one survey per household. This strategy is designed to help us gain a more accurate understanding of the needs and perspectives of each individual student and their family. By doing so, we can effectively allocate resources and services where they are most needed. Your participation in this process is greatly appreciated as we work together to ensure the success and well-being of every student in our district.
We will also be holding a giveaway for survey participants! Make sure to complete the climate survey for your chance to win gift cards and goodies from local cafes and restaurants!
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and we need to hear from you by April 12. Thank you in advance for your participation!
APS believes that families are our partners in education, and we hope that our students, staff, and parents will help us strengthen our community by providing invaluable feedback on these surveys. If you have any questions about the parent survey, please contact the APS Accountability and Research Department at [email protected].
