APS Celebrates Women’s History Month
Posted on 03/01/2022
APS would not be successful without the significant contributions women of the past and present have made in our schools and communities. From teachers to support staff, nutrition services workers, school bus drivers, school board members and more, women have been--and will continue to be--a driving force behind student success. We thank and honor each and every woman who has offered their unique talents to education and beyond.
As Former President Jimmy Carter stated in 1980, "From the first settlers who came to our shores, from the first American Indian families who befriended them, men and women have worked together to build this nation. Too often the women were unsung, and sometimes their contributions went unnoticed. But the achievements, leadership, courage, strength and love of the women who built America was as vital as that of the men whose names we know so well."
