Information Regarding Cognitive Assessments & Gifted Screening
Please review the following requirements for cognitive assessments and gifted identification based on your student's grade level:

Kindergarten Applicants (In-District): If you reside within Aurora Public Schools boundaries, our team will contact you to discuss the screening process.

Kindergarten Applicants (Out-of-District): Applicants residing outside APS boundaries must work with their neighborhood school and home district to complete pre-screening before submitting an application.

Grades 1–8: We do not offer cognitive assessments or screening for applicants in grades 1 through 8. All necessary screening, cognitive assessments, and gifted identification must be completed at the student's home school prior to applying for the Aurora Quest lottery.
