The APS After-School System is a collection of after-school providers that offer care to students in grades K-5 with access to physically and emotionally safe spaces. This system is overseen by an APS Afterschool Coordinator and Advocate, who monitor and support partnerships between schools and their selected after-school providers.
APS after-school programs are inclusive, providing students with more opportunities to establish positive relationships with adults and peers and offering many ways for students to engage in enriching activities. This allows parents/guardians to have peace of mind knowing their children are in a safe place after school. APS currently partners with Boys and Girls Club, Innovation Learning, Right At School, Scholars Unlimited, and YMCA.
Thanks to Aurora voters who passed the APS 2018 mill levy override, we expanded and will continue to broaden our after-school system! The mill levy override funding provides us with additional resources to create new opportunities and partnerships.
