Destination APS was developed with input from students, staff, families and community members. Superintendent Michael Giles, Jr. hosted two rounds of listening sessions that helped inform our strategic plan values, priorities and key performance indicators. In the Fall of 2023, he hosted 8 listening sessions and also received input via a survey. This feedback was used to define our values. Then, in the Winter of 2024, he hosted 4 additional listening sessions and also received input via a survey. This feedback was used to inform our priorities and key performance indicators.
Superintendent Giles and his Leadership Team then engaged dozens of school and district staff members over the Summer of 2024 to outline our key strategies. We thank the Aurora Public Schools community for their invaluable feedback throughout the listening tour that helped us develop our strategic plan.
