Title I Family Engagement Shared Google Drive
(The following documents are accessible by Aurora Public Schools (APS) staff members using their APS Google login.)
Beginning in FY27, schools will complete the Framework to document their family engagement priorities and planned activities. Fiscal oversight of Title I Family Engagement funds remains unchanged and will continue through the district's established Oracle approval process.
To complete the Framework:
- Complete the Planning Rationale, Parent & Family Participation, and Implementation Plan sections in consultation with parents and family members.
- Sign the Principal Certification.
- Submit the completed Framework to Federal Programs via email.
Please note: Schools may not access or expend FY27 Title I Family Engagement (9211) funds until Federal Programs has received a signed Title I Family Engagement Framework.
Additional Reminders:
- The Framework replaces the annual school-level 9211 budget.
- The Framework is a planning document—not a budget.
- Activities may change throughout the school year without submitting a revised Framework.
- All purchases remain subject to district purchasing procedures and Oracle approval workflows.
- The second page of the Framework includes a Quick Reference with examples of allowable activities and answers to frequently asked questions.
Important FY27 Update
Beginning in FY27, Title I Family Engagement (9211) funds may no longer be used to pay for third-party interpretation services, including Language Link. APS considers interpretation services, such as Language Link, to be a school-level operational responsibility. As outlined in the APS Budget Development Guide, schools are expected to fund these services through their base school allocations. Because this is an expense that schools are responsible for regardless of Title I status, Title I funds may not be used to replace or supplant those local funds. This change applies only to third-party interpretation services such as Language Link and does not affect the use of Title I funds for other allowable family engagement activities.
