Aurora Public Schools is developing a Portrait of an APS Graduate, a shared vision of the knowledge, skills and character traits every student needs to thrive in school, career and life. This vision will guide learning across APS so that every student is prepared for the future they choose.

We invite students, families, staff and community members to join us for one of our upcoming Community Listening Sessions to share ideas and help shape this important work. Your input will directly influence the Portrait of a Graduate, which will serve as a foundation for how we prepare APS students for success.

Each session will be hosted within our school clusters from Nov. 4 through Nov. 12. All sessions will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m., with refreshments and interpretation provided.

Community Listening Session Schedule

  • Aurora Central Cluster: Tuesday, Nov. 4 at North Middle School Media Center
  • Gateway Cluster: Wednesday, Nov. 5 at Aurora Hills Middle School Cafeteria
  • Hinkley Cluster: Thursday, Nov. 6 at East Middle School Media Center
  • Rangeview Cluster: Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Columbia Middle School Media Center
  • Vista PEAK Preparatory Cluster: Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Vista PEAK Exploratory Media Center

To see which schools are part of each cluster, view the Community Listening Session Flyer.

We hope you’ll attend the session in your school cluster and share your thoughts on the qualities and skills APS graduates need to be successful. Together, we can build a portrait that reflects the hopes, values and aspirations of our entire community.
